The University of Kentucky recently received an $8.8 million grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, part of the National Institutes of Health, to establish a Clinical Research Center as part of the Justice Community Opioid Innovation Network to support research on quality addiction treatment for opioid use disorder in criminal justice settings nationwide.
New findings do not support the recommendation for universal screening on hospital admission for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) to reduce the rate of hospital-acquired infections in surgical patients, according to a study in the March 12 issue of JAMA.
