Around one in three Dutch doctors would be prepared to help someone with early dementia, mental illness, or who is 'tired of living' to die, reveals a small survey published online in the Journal of Medical Ethics.
The Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai St. Luke's, Mount Sinai Queens, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai have again earned recognition as "Leaders in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality" in the Healthcare Equality Index, an annual survey by the Human Rights Campaign that encourages equal care for LGBTQ patients and recognizes health care institutions for inclusive policies and practices.
Researchers at the University of Michigan Health System Department of Dermatology have found scientific evidence that the appearance of sun-damaged skin may be improved by treatment with a topical product that increases the skin's sensitivity to light, followed by laser therapy.

Currently, the 12-lead electrocardiogram is the noninvasive clinical gold standard used to diagnose and localize these conditions, but it has limited accuracy, cannot provide an anatomical tool to visually localize the source of the arrhythmia, and depending on which clinician is looking at the signals, there might be some interpretation variability.
