In the 12 months after removing behavioral interventions, inappropriate antibiotic prescribing for acute respiratory infections increased relative to control practices, according to a study published by JAMA.

Approximately 10.3 percent of U.S. adults appear to have problems with drug use or abuse during their lives, including 2.6 percent who become drug dependent at some point, according to a report in the May issue of Archives of General Psychiatry.

Type 2 diabetes is characterized by unsatisfactory levels of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) for extended periods. In doing so, patients would decrease their exposure to hyperglycemia and potentially improve long-term outcomes.
