Union Dental Holdings, Inc., a provider of multi-state dental services for union members, announced today its revenues for the quarter ending June 30, 2010. The revenues from operations as compared to the same period for 2009 increased 32 percent to $1,144,655 from $769,234. The profitability is partially attributed to the expansion of the dental facility, lowering of IR consulting fees, professional fees and general operating expenses while increasing its revenue base.

A study led by the University of Granada has linked the consumption of dairy products (milk, fresh cheese, yogurt or cottage cheese) during pregnancy with a lower risk of having a low birth weight newborn.
Contradicting claims of disease prevention, an analysis of previous studies indicates that the antioxidant supplements beta carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin E may increase the risk of death, according to a meta-analysis and review article in the February 28 issue of JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association.
A recent study of primary care support for youth mental health in the Mid West was undertaken by researchers at the Centre for Interventions in Infection, Inflammation & Immunity (4i), Graduate Entry Medical School, UL (www.4i.ie). The researchers surveyed physicians in Limerick, Clare, and North Tipperary and found mental health and family conflict represented the most frequent reasons why young people attended GPs.
