Yet the leading National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers - which should be leaders in fertility preservation - aren't doing an adequate job of helping patients protect their fertility, reports a new Northwestern Medicine- study.
New research has shed light on the high risk of fractures, falls, and osteoporosis among epilepsy patients using antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) with most patients unaware of the risks associated with taking the drugs.
A study published in the journal Health Communications shows that women at high risk for breast cancer who received a letter informing them of their options for additional imaging with contrast-enhanced MRI of the breast (in addition to a letter sent to their primary care physician) were more likely to return to the center for additional screening with MRI.
In what appears to be the biggest outbreak yet in Europe of the deadly strain of bird flu, more than 2,000 domestic birds have died in a remote region of the Crimean peninsula in the Ukraine.
A report led by a professor at the University of Southampton recommends the worldwide removal of the fixed or default retirement age (DRA).
