Phase IIb trail results of epratuzumab in lupus patients to be presented at EULAR 2010

Immunomedics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing monoclonal antibodies to treat cancer and other serious diseases, today announced that clinical trial results on epratuzumab, the anti-CD22 humanized monoclonal antibody licensed to UCB SA, Brussels, for autoimmune disease indications, from the Phase IIb study in patients with lupus, will be presented in four posters sessions and one published abstract.

Better Care for People with Bipolar Disorder: A new booklet to be launched in December 2014

Bipolar Disorder is in the top 20 causes of years lost due to illness in the world among all health conditions. It affects 1.4% of the population and lasts for the rest of the person's life. People diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder are 20 times more likely than the general public to commit suicide. In 2007 service provision costs for Bipolar Disorder and related conditions were estimated to be £1.6 billion. This is projected to increase to £2.6 billion by 2026.

Vitamin B12 supplementation could postpone disease progression in Parkinson's patients

Patients recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease that have low levels of vitamin B12 develop symptoms faster than those with higher levels, suggesting supplementation could postpone the progression of symptoms, new research has found.
