Study finds link between citrus fruit consumption and melanoma risk

A new analysis of two long-term studies has revealed a potential association between malignant melanoma risk and frequent consumption of grapefruit and oranges. The study found that compared with people who consumed these fruits less than twice a week, those who had them at least 1.6 times a day were at a 36% higher risk of developing melanoma.

New study to examine physical activity and dietary behavior of colorectal cancer patients

In an effort to build the groundwork for future research on health promotion among individuals with colorectal and other cancers, a team of investigators at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) has launched a new study examining patterns in physical activity and eating habits of colorectal cancer patients who have recently finished treatment. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. wages are so low they force many of its employees onto the public doles, creating a drag on taxpayers and the economy, according to a new report from the staff of congressional Democrats.
