Covance opens state-of-the-art biorepository facility at Greenfield

Covance Inc., a leading provider of drug development services, announced today that it has opened a state-of-the-art biorepository facility at its Greenfield, Indiana location. The 20,000-square-foot building is dedicated to long-term storage of clinical trial specimens. The facility is able to store a wide-range of specimens, including plasma, serum, whole blood, DNA, PBMC, and tissue.

Anesthesiology: An anesthesiologist is trained to provide pain relief and maintenance, or restoration, of a stable condition during and immediately following an operation or an obstetric or diagnostic procedure. The anesthesiologist assesses the risk of the patient undergoing surgery and optimizes the patient's condition prior to, during and after surgery. In addition to these management responsibilities, the anesthesiologist provides medical management and consultation in pain management and critical care medicine.
