A study analyzing the impact of the Delaware Cancer Consortium, the state's cancer control program, reports a 41 percent reduction in colorectal mortality rates for African Americans.
"Starting this week, Ghana will vaccinate the first babies in a new campaign against rotavirus - a cause of severe diarrhea - and pneumococcal disease, which causes pneumonia, meningitis and sepsis," Reuters reports.
Cancer patients who wore acupressure wristbands had much less nausea while receiving radiation treatment, making the bands a safe, low-cost addition to anti-nausea medication, according to a study in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management by University of Rochester Medical Center researchers.
