Scientists develop nanocarriers for lung cancer treatment

Nanoparticles can function as carriers for medicines to combat lung cancer: Working in a joint project at the NIM (Nanosystems Initiative Munich) Excellence Cluster, scientists from the Helmholtz Zentrum München and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich have developed nanocarriers that site-selectively release medicines/drugs at the tumor site in human and mouse lungs.

Clinton outlines QDDR recommendations at launch event

Bardoxolone methyl treatment may reduce stage of CKD, improve eGFR in kidney function

Reata Pharmaceuticals and Abbott today announced data from a Phase 2b study which suggests that bardoxolone methyl, an investigational treatment for chronic kidney disease (CKD), may reduce the stage of CKD and improve estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and other measures of kidney function in the majority of patients receiving the drug.

Foreign fruit generally has a higher content of pesticides than Danish fruit, and fruit has a higher content of pesticides than vegetables. Danes' intake of pesticide residues appears to be on a par with the latest monitoring from 2003.
