OrthoAccel announces full-market release of AcceleDent dental device

OrthoAccel Technologies, Inc. announced this week that following a successful limited market release of AcceleDent last October it will be initiating a full-market release throughout the United Kingdom this coming September. Availability of AcceleDent, which is a regulated medical device and only available to dental professionals to prescribe to their patients, will be featured at the British Orthodontic Conference (BOC) next month in Brighton.

Celerion completes acquisition of MDS Pharma Services' early stage clinical development operations

Celerion, a privately owned contract research organization (CRO), has completed the acquisition of the development and regulatory services consultancy and early stage development operations of MDS Pharma Services. The acquired assets include five clinical research facilities and two bioanalytical laboratories located in Lincoln, Nebraska; Neptune, New Jersey; Phoenix, Arizona; Zurich, Switzerland; and Belfast, Northern Ireland, as well as operations in Richmond, Virginia and Quebec, Canada.

A new study appearing in the July issue of Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, reports that watching an actor smoke on the big screen may make smokers more likely to continue smoking in the future, and make nonsmokers more favorably disposed toward smoking.
