Risk of disability rises in states with income inequality

A massive survey conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto reveals Americans living in states with high rates of income inequality are significantly more likely to have a disability that limits the completion of daily tasks such as dressing, bathing and mobility at home.

Study reveals that low carbohydrate diet delayed the need for antihyperglycemic drug therapy in type 2 diabetic patients

A study published in Annals of Internal Medicine found that compared with a low-fat diet, a low-carbohydrate Mediterranean-style diet led to more favorable changes in glycemic control and coronary risk factors and delayed the need for antihyperglycemic drug therapy for overweight patients with newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes.
