HIV targets achieved by United Kingdom, says report

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/Aids (UNAids) target for 2020 is 90-90-90 which means 90 percent people with HIV would be diagnosed, 90 percent of those diagnosed would receive anti-HIV or anti-retroviral treatment and 90 percent of those treated with antiretroviral drugs would achieve suppression of their viral load so that they cannot transmit the infection to others.

Study finds large number of new couples among young adults infected with HPV

A groundbreaking study of couples led by Professor Eduardo Franco, Director of McGill University's Cancer Epidemiology Unit, in collaboration with a team of colleagues from McGill and Universit- de Montr-al/Centre Hospitalier de l'Universit- de Montr-al (CHUM), found more than half (56 per cent) of young adults in a new sexual relationship were infected with human papillomavirus (HPV).

WGU gains approval to commence enrolling Utah students in B.S. in Nursing program

Western Governors University's College of Health Professions has gained approval from the Utah Board of Nursing to begin enrolling Utah students in its innovative B.S. in Nursing (Prelicensure) program. The program, which is offered in partnership with seven Utah hospitals, is the nation's first online, competency-based bachelor's degree program designed to prepare students for initial licensure as registered nurses. Enrollment will begin this fall, and applications are now being accepted.
