Genetics researchers have unveiled a powerful new resource for scientists and health providers studying human illnesses - a reference standard of deletions and duplications of DNA found in the human genome. Drawn from over 2,000 healthy persons, the study provides one of the deepest and broadest sets of copy number variations (CNVs) available to date, along with a new research tool for diagnosing and identifying genetic problems in patients.
"The National Medical Association believes the passage of health care legislation this weekend will be one of the most important steps Congress can take in securing America's future," remarked Dr. Willarda V. Edwards, president of the National Medical Association. "The NMA is hopeful that Sunday's vote will bring relief to millions of Americans who wonder what will happen to them if they get sick," she continued.
BioAlliance Pharma SA (Paris:BIO) announces today that the American District Judge has granted the motion to dismiss of BioAlliance Pharma and one of its executive in response to the civil action filed by Eurofins. Eurofins filed an appeal.
An element of the event-related potential response to visual stimuli is impaired in patients with prodromal symptoms of schizophrenia, research suggests.
