With pancreatic cancer poised to become the third leading cause of cancer death in Europe, Celgene International Sàrl, a subsidiary of Celgene Corporation, has today reiterated its commitment to patients and their families with the announcement that it will focus significant resources to increase awareness and understanding of the disease.
The National Math and Science Initiative and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute have awarded Louisiana Tech University a $1.45 million grant to support teacher preparation in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields, as part of the national UTeach program.
In a recent study by researchers in Mexico, Russia and Spain, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were found to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 in healthcare workers. They propose a non-pharmaceutical public health intervention consisting of mouthwash and nose rinse with an AgNPs solution to reduce morbidity among healthcare personnel exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
