Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV) is a human tumor virus and an etiological agent for Kaposi's sarcoma (KS).
A group of UK anaesthetists have designed and tested three prototype low-cost ventilators that could provide vital support during major healthcare emergencies involving large numbers of patients or casualties. The devices, detailed in a paper published online by Anaesthesia, could also be used where resources are limited, such as in developing countries, remote locations or by the military.
HHS handed out another $40 million in public health grants Wednesday -; partly, but not completely, from ACA funds -; to help beef up health departments and train the public health workforce.
"Women exposed to nickel show no elevated risk of delivering newborns with certain birth defects or small size at birth", says Arild Vaktskjold at the Nordic School of Public Health. "Furthermore, the women did not show an increased risk for spontaneous abortion".
