The court released a list of cases it has decided to take up or decline and Virginia's lawsuit regarding the health law was not included. Because the Court releases "a regular list of orders" every Monday it is in session, there was speculation that the justices would act on this issue yesterday.
Experts from the Cardiac & Vascular Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center presented new research findings at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2011 held November 12-16, 2011 in Orlando, Florida.
The Obama administration announced on Tuesday that nearly $220 million in new grants would be awarded to 13 states bringing the total that have been awarded such assistance to 29. This number includes seven of the states run by GOP governors that are suing the administration to overturn the health law.
Scientists and engineers from two of the nation's largest industries - medicine and energy - will come together Dec. 7 with leading academicians to explore the synergies in moving oil and pumping blood.
New findings by National Institutes of Health scientists could explain how Salmonella bacteria, a common cause of food poisoning, efficiently spread in people. In a study published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers describe finding a reservoir of rapidly replicating Salmonella inside epithelial cells. These bacteria are primed to infect other cells and are pushed from the epithelial layer by a new mechanism that frees the Salmonella to infect other cells or be shed into the intestine.
