Bioniche Life Sciences Inc., a research-based, technology-driven Canadian biopharmaceutical company, today provided an update on its Phase III clinical program evaluating Urocidin(TM) in the treatment of bladder cancer.
In response to concerns from hospitals to prepare for eventual pandemic flu outbreaks, the French company AirInSpace, with support from ESA's Technology Transfer Programme, has successfully adapted technology developed to protect astronauts for use in critical care centres to protect immune-deficient patients against airborne pathogens such as the avian flu virus.
"The average American woman who wants two children spends roughly five years trying to get pregnant or being pregnant. She spends a much longer time - 30 years, on average - trying to avoid pregnancy, often at no small expense. That may soon change, at least the expense part" (7/6).
In connection with the exercise of employee stock options in the plans 2007/2010 and 2008/2011, Diamyd Medical is issuing 155,352 new shares of series B to cover social security contributions for the plans. The shares are issued with support of underlying warrants that covers the company's obligations within the scope of the programs.
