The first award under BioCurate's new "Proof of Concept" fund has been granted to the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute.
A new study, jointly led by the University of Southampton and King's College London, has found a link between gum disease and greater rates of cognitive decline in people with early stages of Alzheimer's Disease.
In a recent discovery by University of Minnesota Medical School, researchers uncovered a new way to potentially target and treat late-stage colorectal cancer - a disease that kills more than 50,000 people each year in the United States.
Bayer HealthCare announced today that the New Drug Application for its oral investigational compound riociguat has been accepted for filing and granted priority review by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of inoperable chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension or with persistent or recurrent CTEPH after pulmonary endarterectomy and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
