AlphaRx, Inc. today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Cypress Bioscience, under which AlphaRx is regaining all rights to Indaflex(TM) from Cypress Bioscience, which AlphaRx had previously licensed to Proprius Pharmaceuticals, which was subsequently acquired by Cypress Bioscience.
"President Barack Obama on Tuesday welcomed progress on health care overhaul as top Senate Democrats and the administration closed in on a deal with hospitals to help pay for the president's proposed expansion of medical coverage to the uninsured," The Associated Press reports.
Scientists have moved a step closer to being able to preserve fertility in young boys who undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer. The new research, published in Fertility and Sterility, the journal of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, addresses the safety of an option scientists are developing for boys who aren't sexually mature and cannot bank sperm.
Researchers find an increased rate of unintentional injection of epinephrine from auto-injectors for anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions) and urge people who may need to administer the life-saving drug to themselves or others in an allergic emergency to receive regular coaching in its proper use.
Zika virus can hamper vital collagen development in the brains of babies whose mothers were infected with the disease while pregnant, new research reveals, as the search for a vaccine continues.
