Delcath Systems, Inc. announced today that it has executed a multi-year supply agreement with Synerx Pharma, LLC and Bioniche Teoranta, an affiliate of Mylan, Inc., for the supply of Delcath's branded melphalan hydrochloride for injection ("melphalan"). Melphalan is the chemotherapeutic drug used with Delcath's Chemosaturation system in its Phase III clinical study for the treatment of patients with hepatic metastases from ocular or cutaneous melanoma.
Telik, Inc. today announced the publication of the positive results from a Phase 1-2a multicenter, dose-ranging study of TELCYTA in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel as first-line therapy for patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in a leading peer reviewed publication, the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, October 2009; Vol. 4, No. 10.
A new US study available on the preprint server medRxiv reveals certain genetic variations that are associated with infection susceptibility and diverse clinical presentation of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) – including asymptomatic cases and severe forms of the disease in younger patients.
In the first effort to estimate the overall impact of a city's urban forest on concentrations of fine particulate pollution (particulate matter less than 2.5 microns, or PM2.5), a U.S. Forest Service and Davey Institute study found that urban trees and forests are saving an average of one life every year per city. In New York City, trees save an average of eight lives every year.
