Indiana University Health and its building team on the Riley Hospital for Children Simon Family Tower at IU Health have signed an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) contract for the design and construction of the remaining portions of the hospital addition.

A multi-center team of researchers are planning a clinical trial using cardiosphere-derived cells (CDCs) (a heterogeneous cluster of proliferating cardiac cells that include mesenchymal stem cells) to regenerate the tissue and improve function of the heart in patients who have suffered heart attacks (myocardial infarction, MI).
A 23-year old federal program for the early detection and treatment of cervical cancer markedly reduces illness and death among underserved, low-income women, yet its impact has been reduced by the fact that it has reached only 10 percent of the eligible population, finds a new study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
