Scientists from the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) have found that a drug candidate with anticancer potential can be activated by one of the body's natural responses to cellular stress. Once activated, the agent can kill prostate cancer cells.

A strength training technique called autoregulatory progressive resistance exercise —in which athletes increase strength by progressing at their own pace—provides better results than standard techniques in which resistance is steadily increased, reports a study in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning, official research journal of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Scientists at the University of Bristol are engineering human skin on artificial robotic muscles that can stretch and bend the tissue just like in the real world.
Healthier foods are often perceived as less tasty by majority of the population. This was studied by researchers who tried to see if healthy foods such as vegetables could be made more interesting.
