A transplant biopsy system that uses gene chips to read molecules is far safer and more effective than existing approaches used for heart transplant biopsies and is showing promising results for lung transplant biopsies, new University of Alberta-led research shows.
Sepracor Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. (DSP), today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA, or Agency) has issued a Complete Response Letter to Sepracor's New Drug Application (NDA) for its antiepileptic drug candidate, STEDESA™, which is the company's proposed trade name for eslicarbazepine acetate.
"We welcome the Obama administration's announcement of a farsighted effort to treat millions more people living with HIV abroad, especially in sub-Saharan Africa," a New York Times editorial writes.
Mobile Aspects, a leader in RFID enabled clinical process improvement systems, announced today that Novation, the health care contracting services company for VHA Inc., the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), and Provista, has awarded Mobile Aspects a three-year contract to supply radio frequency identification (RFID) inventory management systems to its member organizations.
