Scientists from the South Ural State University have conducted a CFD Study for monitoring the spread of respiratory viruses in closed spaces.
Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today confirmed that its subsidiary, Watson Laboratories, Inc. - Florida, has been sued by Pfizer Inc. and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. in connection with the filing of Watson's Abbreviated New Drug Application for sirolimus tablets in the 1 mg and 2 mg strengths.
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) and Applied Biosystems, part of Life Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:LIFE), today introduced the Agilent SureSelect Target Enrichment System, which is optimized for the SOLiDâ„¢ System, a next-generation advanced genomic analysis sequencing platform.
A new study by researchers at Children's Hospital Los Angeles has shown that tissue-engineered small intestine grown from human cells replicates key aspects of a functioning human intestine. The tissue-engineered small intestine they developed contains important elements of the mucosal lining and support structures, including the ability to absorb sugars, and even tiny or ultra-structural components like cellular connections.
Viruses plague bacteria just as viruses like influenza plague humans. Some of the largest of these so-called bacteriophages have now been found in the human gut, where they periodically devastate bacteria just as seasonal outbreaks of flu lay humans low, according to a new study led by University of California, Berkeley, scientists.
