Emdeon Inc., a leading provider of healthcare revenue and payment cycle management solutions, today announced the launch of Emdeon Commercial MedRx, a specialized processing solution that enables retail pharmacies to submit commercial medical claims electronically to medical payers and health plans across the U.S.
Could a computer detect a person's emotions? Could it tell when someone is frustrated over something like a tricky math problem on an online tutoring program? Could it detect deep reflection on a problem? A research team led by Worcester Polytechnic Institute computer science assistant professor Erin Solovey is working to develop a system that could extract that information by merging computer science with neuroscience.
The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation will honor Fred R. Hirsch, M.D., Ph.D., with the 2015 Addario Lectureship Award for his continued leadership and expertise in lung cancer treatment and research. Dr. Hirsch, CEO of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, will receive the award at the 16th International Lung Cancer Congress held on July 30 – August 1 in Huntington Beach, California.
Hepatitis G virus was identified in 1995. Some little research was carried out on the virus and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declared it a non-harmful virus in 1997. Researchers in Saudi Arabia, writing in the International Journal of Immunological Studies present evidence to suggest that this may have been the wrong decision.
