Senators away for the Thanksgiving holiday are continuing the health care reform debate with constituents and are facing far less vitriol than during the August recess.

Gerrit Voordouw, PhD, a microbiologist at the University of Calgary, has spent the past 20 years trying to unlock the secrets of an iron-eating bacteria known as Desulfovibrio vulgaris.
The Ontario government must fund hospitals adequately and take a number of very concrete steps to save precious health care resources, a union representing 30,000 hospital and long-term care employees told a pre-budget provincial parliamentary committee this morning.
