Advanced Medical Diagnostics SA, a privately held company committed to providing innovative computer-aided solutions (HistoScanning™) that improve the diagnostic interpretation of ultrasound scans, today announced a collaboration with the BUND-DER-UROLOGEN for the opening of 15 Tissue Differentiation Diagnostic Centres.
Researchers from NYU Langone Medical Center's Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Radiology found that advanced MRI techniques can be used to detect subtle changes in joint cartilage microstructure - and provide physicians a diagnostic tool for finding key markers of early osteoarthritis.
The University of Leicester will go on 'Red Alert' on Saturday 10th October, when fire officers, paramedics and international experts in triage, pandemics and major trauma converge on the campus for the staging of a chemical/biological/radioactive incident.
Vocal cord dysfunction (VCD) is the sudden, abnormal narrowing closure of the vocal cords during inhalation causing obstruction of the airflow, and is characterized by a noise that can mimic the sound of wheezing. A VCD attack can easily be mistaken for an asthma attack though it does not respond to asthma medications.
