Phytel, the leader in empowering physicians to drive health improvement through technology, announced today that The Iowa Clinic, a large multispecialty group based in Des Moines, has agreed to implement Phytel's Proactive Patient Outreach solution to make sure that all of its patients receive appropriate preventive and chronic disease care.
A study published today in the August edition of the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery reports that wavefront technology, a new way of measuring how vision is distorted by irregularities in the eye, offers a widely accepted means for corroborating cataract patients' vision complaints, which may lead to earlier treatment with attendant enhanced patient safety and less loss of quality of life.
The ramifications of this South Dakota law may be more political than practical, reports Politico, while people on both sides of the issue spring into action.
Increased roadway pollution produced by diesel fuel in vehicles is leading to a cascade of conditions that could result in heart attack or stroke, researchers suggested in the report of a small study presented at the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions 2007.
