Almac is making substantial progress in transitioning operations to its new headquarters in Souderton, PA, especially in the area of distribution. The new facility has been successfully shipping clinical trial materials since November, and has recently seen an increase in shipment volumes due to the added efficiencies the new building provides.
Naurex Inc., a new clinical stage company developing innovative treatments for depression and other CNS disorders based on its novel GFPA NMDA receptor modulators, today announced that it has initiated a Phase I clinical trial of its lead compound GLYX-13 and has successfully dosed the first subjects in the study.
Researchers have developed an animal model of infantile spasms, improving the likelihood of finding new treatments for the thousands of young children who suffer from these catastrophic epilepsy seizures, according to research to be presented at the American Academy of Neurology's 59th Annual Meeting in Boston, April 28, May 5, 2007.
Ultrasound imaging is commonly used to diagnose and evaluate patients with differentiated thyroid cancer, and to determine whether the disease has spread to lymph nodes in the neck that should be removed at the time of thyroidectomy.
"House Republicans said the newly released Democratic health care reform bill would create an expensive government-run heath care system paid for by those who could least afford it, but they declined to say whether they would introduce a conference alternative," Roll Call reports.
