The Prostate Cancer Foundation today announced that it has funded 10 new Challenge Awards for accelerating scientific discovery and new treatments for prostate cancer patients.
Scientists at the University of California at Berkeley have devised a method by which they can hear thoughts. They conducted a small study in which they could predict what people were thinking based on their brain activity.
Scientists at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III and the Spanish Cardiovascular Research Network (CIBERCV), led by Dr Vicente Andrés, have generated the HGPSrev experimental mouse model.
Jason Meyer, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology in the School of Science at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, has received a National Institutes of Health grant to study how glaucoma develops in stem cells created from skin cells genetically predisposed to the disease.
