The coronavirus disease COVID-19 is causing excessive blood clotting and stroke in young and healthy people, a new study has found.
"More than two years after" CDC "recommended routine HIV screening, two state lawmakers" in Texas have proposed a bill to align the state with the federal recommendations, a Lubbock Avalanche-Journal editorial says.
Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have received a multi-year National Institutes of Health grant to determine factors which may influence why African Americans are less likely than others to receive colorectal cancer screenings, despite having the highest CRC incidence and mortality of any ethnic/racial group in America.
"Now is really the perfect time in history for the university here in Tainan to jump into the field of cryo-EM (cryo-electron microscopy)," said Dr. Robert M. Glaeser, Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology, UC Berkeley, USA, at a symposium held at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, March 4th.
The prevalence of chronic fatigue syndrome in children and the significant impairment it causes to their physical functioning, school attendance and performance, and extracurricular activities, are at the root of a new Chicago-based study led by DePaul University psychologist Leonard A. Jason.
