Republican attorneys general in Kansas and Maine say they will join more than 20 other states in a lawsuit challenging the federal health care law. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt sent a letter to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday formally asking that Kansas join the multistate lawsuit pending in federal district court in Florida.
Leading health care policy experts from community health centers, patient and clinician specialty groups, industry organizations and academic institutions convened yesterday to discuss challenges in the federal 340B Drug Discount Program, and the importance of preserving aspects that truly serve vulnerable, uninsured and underinsured patients.
At an event marked by celebration and strategic insight, Invida Group officially ushered in a new era as the company converges its subsidiaries under a unified global brand name. Held at Invida's new corporate headquarters in Singapore's Science Park One, the event drew 180 participants.
The Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention within the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention will open a Joint Research Laboratory for Pathogen Discovery to conduct surveillance, identify new infectious microbes, establish novel platforms for diagnostics, and develop drugs and vaccines to treat diseases in humans and animals.
