The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a proposed rule which, if finalized, would benefit both consumers and the food industry by enabling manufacturers of heat-processed low-acid canned foods to modernize their equipment by using alternative temperature-indicating devices (TIDs).
ImmunoGen, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company that develops targeted anticancer therapeutics, announced today that presentations of clinical data for three product candidates employing its Targeted Antibody Payload (TAP) technology will be made at the 51st American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and Exposition to be held in New Orleans, LA, on December 5-8, 2009.
By carefully matching the estimated function of kidneys from deceased donors with the needs of potential recipients, surgeons can successfully transplant kidneys that would otherwise be discarded, according to a report from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The center was able to double its transplant volume within a year.
