The Tecan Group and Luminex Corporation have announced that they will collaborate on the development of a new automated newborn screening solution that will provide faster results for infants' potential health concerns.
The Chinese county of Yicheng, which has been exempt for the last 21 years from the country's one-child-per-family policy, has been found to have a lower fertility rate than the national average, the Christian Science Monitor reports.
Since 9/11, more than 2 million men and women have deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and other conflict zones as part of the war on terror. With up to 20 percent now reporting symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, both they - and their families – must cope with the invisible wounds of war.
