Researchers at Mayo Clinic suggest that the established "normal" ranges for evaluating electrocardiograms for persons over 80 years old should be "revisited."
Two years of maintenance therapy with rituximab dramatically improves the chances of survival for patients suffering from one of the most frequent forms of lymphoma, indolent non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL).
Results from a phase 3 clinical trial indicate that patients who have not benefited from standard therapy for ankylosing spondylitis, a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by back pain and sacroiliac-joint damage, may have another treatment option in the biologic drug ixekizumab.
NICE has today issued guidance for the use of the targeted biological therapies, Enbrel (etanercept) and Raptiva (efalizumab), to treat adult patients with severe plaque psoriasis.
