Researchers at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) are presenting a means of evaluating an immunotherapy that fights off NSCLC by strengthening a patient's own immune system.
Invincibles, the "strong and healthy young adults who have no experience with wallet-crippling illness and feel they have no need for coverage," may be "the most likely to be affected by the reform effort" outlined by President Barack Obama on Wednesday, The Baltimore Sun reports. "Adults ages 18 to 34 comprise more than half of the nation's uninsured.
The rollout of vaccines against the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is expanding worldwide. However, little is known about the duration of protection offered by these vaccines. Real-world data on the kinetics of antibodies are beginning to appear, but a holistic picture of immunity duration is still not available.
Effectiveness in preventing or treating serious medical conditions typically requires patients to follow treatment plans such as medication, exercise or diet, but about 50 percent of patients fail to adequately use those plans.
