Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Quebec Division is happy to announce the 32nd edition of the MS Read-A-Thon. This event invites students in elementary and secondary schools across the province to participate in an enjoyable activity that gives them a chance to develop their philanthropic qualities while stimulating their interest in reading.
A new study brings neural-level evidence that the continuous variation in natural speech makes the discrimination of phonemes challenging for adults suffering from developmental reading-deficit dyslexia.
Two University of Houston researchers, working to find cancer cures, received grants from the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas, the organization that funds groundbreaking cancer research and prevention programs in the state.
For an organism to develop and function, the individual cells must exchange information, or communicate, with each other. Is it possible to learn their language and "talk to" the cells? Yes it is: Cameron Alexander and George Pasparakis at the University of Nottingham (UK) have been able to facilitate a conversation between bacterial cells and artificial polymer vesicles.
