Johnson & Johnson has announced it has extended its previously announced cash tender offer, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Binder Merger Sub, Inc., for all outstanding shares of common stock of Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. until 12:00 midnight (Eastern time), on Dec. 26, 2008, unless further extended.
Ipsen announced today that the preliminary data from the ongoing phase IIb study in patients with acromegaly for its chimeric compound BIM 23A760 does not meet the expected inhibition of growth hormone (GH) and IGF-1 levels after repeat dosing. Preliminary phase IIb data showed a strong dopaminergic activity but only weak evidence of somatostatinergic activity.
Cleveland Clinic researchers have developed and validated a risk prediction model (called a nomogram) that can help physicians predict which patients who have recently tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, are at greatest risk for hospitalization.
