Doctors have known for a long time that prostate cancer "runs in the family". Men with relatives who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer have an elevated risk of also developing this type of cancer. Intrexon Corporation, a next generation synthetic biology company, today announced an agreement with Novici Biotech LLC in which Intrexon has licensed certain non-exclusive rights to the use of Novici's patented GRAMMR® technology for high-resolution genetic reassortment ("gene shuffling").
A University of South Florida neuroscientist reports that the cutting-edge research study of human stem cells in primates with Parkinson's disease is compelling on several fronts , particularly how the transplanted cells did their job of easing disease symptoms.
