The Neurological Institute at University Hospitals has been designated as a Gold Center of Excellence (COE) and featured as a top performing center by NeuStrategy, Inc., a Chicago consulting firm providing strategic support to neuroscience, oncology and orthopaedic service providers.
A new study, conducted by the not-for-profit research organisation RAND Europe, has found that measures and tools used to assess quality of life are not being used widely in the treatment and care of patients with cancer, despite being used more widely in clinical trials.
Increasing specialist community services like crisis resolution, helping make the transition to adult services smoother for young people, and implementing clinical guidelines are just some of the service changes that are linked to significantly reduced suicide rates in mental health services in England over the last 16 years, according to new research published in The Lancet Psychiatry journal.
