Experts from Northumbria and Sheffield Hallam Universities will launch a new research project which aims to increase patient uptake of cardiac rehabilitation programs as part of the NHS long-term plan.
Aspect Imaging, a developer of compact high-performance MRI systems, announces today that it has received CE marking for the neonatal-dedicated MRI system, Embrace Neonatal MRI System, which enables preparation and scanning of newborns, without having to transport them from the NICU. Embrace® Neonatal MRI can now be used and sold in EU countries and in non-EU countries that rely on CE certification.
Removing tonsils modestly reduced throat infections in the short term in children with moderate obstructive sleep-disordered breathing or recurrent throat infections, according to a systematic review conducted by the Vanderbilt Evidence-based Practice Center for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Exercise is associated with improved survival after a heart attack, according to research published today in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology. The chances of survival increased as the amount of exercise rose.
A National Research Council (NRC) committee has issued a highly critical report describing serious shortfalls in the Bush administration's strategy to better understand the environment, health and safety (EHS) risks of nanotechnology and to effectively manage those potential risks.
