Cancer Research Technology, the commercial arm of Cancer Research UK, has signed a license agreement to grant antibody medicines company, Affitech A/S, exclusive rights to a CRT patent application and relevant know how to develop and use therapeutic antibodies that recognise and block the function of CCR4, a protein found on certain tumours - including early and late stage cervical cancer and oesophageal cancer.
At the 2013 World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC, www.wmicmeeting.org), Bruker today introduces its ParaVision® 6 software, setting new standards in preclinical MRI software that delivers significantly enhanced productivity for both, routine users and accomplished experts. A redefined workflow introduces optimized, application-oriented experimental protocols, an intuitive, interactive 3D scan planning viewport, and automatic reporting. Thanks to its DICOM-based data exchange module, ParaVision 6 seamlessly integrates with data from multimodal imaging studies employed in many preclinical research labs.
Today, Bruegger's announced that it will donate approximately $90,000 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals - largely the result of its "Bottomless Mug" campaign, which ran October 27, 2010 through January 31, 2011.
A breakthrough technique that allows scientists to view individually-labeled tumor cells as they move about in real time in a live mouse may enable scientists to develop microenvironment-specific drugs against cancer, researchers report at the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) 48th Annual Meeting, Dec. 13-17, 2008 in San Francisco.
Scientists have determined a three-dimensional (3-D) molecular image of how anthrax toxin enters human cells, giving scientists more potential targets for blocking the toxin, the lethal part of anthrax bacteria.
