The harmful effects of the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays are well publicised and the risk of developing skin cancer has scared many people into using a sunscreen product to protect their skin when exposed to the sun. However, a recent test of the performance of a range of marketed sun protection products revealed that many of them fail to provide adequate protection against UV rays.
Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. and Pfizer Inc. today announced an exclusive, global collaboration and license agreement for the development and commercialization of gene therapy programs for Hemophilia A, including SB-525, one of Sangamo's four lead product candidates, which Sangamo expects will enter the clinic this quarter.
Oberthur Technologies, the world's second largest provider of Smart Card based solutions, and Groupe Sephira, leading supplier of electronic claims for the French Healthcare Committee, jointly announce their attendance at the Salon CARTES et Identification which will take place in Paris, November 17-19, 2009.
