In a new editorial in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, Kathleen Unroe, M.D., MHA, a geriatrician, is advocating for stronger relationships between health systems and nursing homes to provide better care for patients in times of crisis and during day-to-day operations.
Republican lawmakers are refocusing their election-year political efforts on hammering the health law's unpopularity even as the agenda for getting legislation done shrinks amid a tightening political climate, which could stall immigration and unemployment benefit measures.
The human coronavirus family consists of 7 known pathogens, for which there are no approved vaccines or specific therapeutic options.
