The most common cause of infant hospitalization in the United States, respiratory syncytial virus, infects virtually all children by age two.
Three people have now have reported a dramatic improvement in vision after having gene therapy in both eyes after having lost their eyesight as children.

Sales of the name-brand product in the United States were approximately $200 million in 2009.
