A new study has found that patient deaths from pneumonia and acute myocardial infarction were significantly more likely in hospitals where nurses reported schedules with long work hours.
pSivida Corp., a leader in the development of sustained release, drug delivery products for treating eye diseases, today announced that the Italian Medicines Agency (Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco) has granted marketing authorization to ILUVIEN for the treatment of vision impairment associated with chronic diabetic macular edema (DME) considered insufficiently responsive to available therapies.
British scientists say they have found a new way to regulate hypertension (high blood pressure).
One of the main limiting factors for a traditional x-ray source is the thermal management of the solid fixed, or rotating, anode leading to overheating or even melting as the electron beam power is increased.
