The authors of a newly published paper in the September/October journal Vascular Disease Management conclude that the micro-bland embolization technique possible with Embozene(TM) Color-Advanced Microspheres leads to better clinical outcomes.
Scientists are using machine learning to identify important sequences of DNA within the mosquito genome that regulate how the insect's cells develop and behave.
In this Center for Global Development Global Health Policy blog post, Amanda Glassman, director of Global Health Policy and research fellow at CGD, and Denizhan Duran, a CGD research assistant, examine the question of whether European and other aid agencies should continue to give aid to India, a country that "now plans to give $11.3 billion in the next five to seven years" through its own aid agency.
"This is a historic day for HIV prevention research. The CAPRISA 004 results are the first clinical evidence that a microbicide gel can help to prevent sexual transmission of HIV infection," said AVAC Executive Director Mitchell Warren, reacting to the results of the landmark microbicide trial presented today at the International AIDS Conference in Vienna.
A new qualitative study examines the attitudes of school administrators, teachers, parents, and students towards the implementation of COVID-19 testing.
