Narrowed and blocked arteries can now be diagnosed faster and more accurately with the help of special computer-aided image analysis techniques.
The results of two studies in the August 15 issue of JAMA report on the psychological status of workers at the Fukushima nuclear power plants in Japan several months after the earthquake and tsunami in March 2011, and the amount of internal radiation exposure among residents of a city north of the power plant that experienced a meltdown.
A 6.1-magnitude aftershock hit Haiti at 6:03 am Eastern Time. All International Medical Corps staff and medical teams are unharmed and are now working to assess the damage left by the strongest aftershock since the 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti eight days ago.
New research has found that pregnant women's ability to remember the position of objects previously seen is reduced as pregnancy progresses. These findings will be presented this week at the annual Society for Endocrinology BES conference in Manchester.
