On Feb. 2, the final day of the second annual SNM Clinical Trials Network Workshop, experts working in various facets of the molecular imaging community met in Albuquerque, N.M., to discuss the nuts and bolts of using imaging in clinical trials and the challenges and opportunities ahead in the regulatory landscape.
According to Millennium Research Group, the global authority on medical technology market intelligence, average selling prices of dental implant fixtures and final abutments have decreased 3.3% and 8.1%, respectively, over the past year. This occurred as dentists attempted to maintain profitability during the economic crisis by demanding greater discounts and increasingly purchasing implants from low-cost manufacturers.
Now, researchers from Arizona State University and Georgia State University are trying to better understand the epidemiology and control of Ebola Virus Disease in order to alleviate suffering and prevent future disease outbreaks from reaching the catastrophic proportions of the current crisis.
For at-risk patients, a simple screening and management program can be effective in preventing heart failure, according to research presented today at the American College of Cardiology's 62nd Annual Scientific Session.
